In 2024 (from 00:00 on January 1 to 24:00 on December 31), the nationwide situation of notifiable infectious diseases in China (with data from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as COVID-19 cases, excluded) is summarized as follows:

The top five reported Class B infectious diseases by case count were viral hepatitis, syphilis, pulmonary tuberculosis, pertussis, and gonorrhea, accounting for 92.4 percent of the total.

The top five reported Class C infectious diseases by case number were influenza, other infectious diarrheal diseases, hand, foot and mouth disease, mumps, and acute hemorrhagic conjunctivitis, constituting 99.9 percent of the total.

Within the category of intestinal infectious diseases among Class A and B infectious diseases, a total of 91,021 cases, with 11 deaths, were reported. The reported incidence rate was 6.47 per 100,000 people, and the reported mortality rate was 0.0008 per 100,000 people.
