Shen Hongbing meets Mongolian health official

Shen Hongbing, vice-minister of the National Health Commission, director of the National Disease Control and Prevention Administration, and director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (China CDC), met with Ochirbat Dagvadorj, state secretary of the Mongolian Ministry of Health, in Beijing on January 8.
The pair discussed the development of the China CDC and deepening future cooperation.

Shen said China and Mongolia are friendly neighbors that have long respected and supported each other on issues concerning core interests. Strengthening cooperation in infectious disease control and prevention serves the shared interests of both countries. He noted that China stands ready to deepen practical cooperation in disease control and provide technical support to assist Mongolia in building its own CDC, with the goal of improving the health and well-being of both peoples.
Ochirbat expressed appreciation for China’s strong support during Mongolia’s efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and commended China’s achievements in public health and disease control. He stated that Mongolia looks forward to further expanding exchanges and cooperation with China in the field of disease control and prevention, learning from the experience of the China CDC, and accelerating the development of Mongolia’s own CDC.
Officials from the National Disease Control and Prevention Administration’s general office, department of S&T education and international cooperation, and the China CDC attended the meeting.
